Had my appt with a genetics counsler this morning
I can say that she did put my mind at ease a bit. She took complete histories of my and DH families, our ethnic backgrounds, asked many questions. She set me and DH for bloodwork, but she said she really doesnt want to send me for test for blood clotting disorders, which, because I'm Italian and 30% of Italian women have MTFHR (I think thats what she called it), I may be setting my self up for unneccesary lupron treatments.
I also started acupuntcure last night, it was great, very relaxing, and I could actually feel like a warm tingling sensation throughout my body.
Well I'm off now for my bloodtest (results in 2-3 weeks )

Stacey-MTHFR is not treated with Lupron-did you mean Lovenox? If you are homozygous for MTHFR(I am) you SHOULD be on Lovenox when PG. And 6 weeks after birth. It prevents clots in the pacenta(which could cause placental abruption) Yes its a PITA but totally manageable-I've been doing it for months (you need to do it when TTC too)

Yup, I am also homozygous for MTHFR
I use Lovenox during my IVF cycles

I live in Staten Island, I went to this place out here. The lady so so unbelievable sweet. I highly recommend it, even if its just for relaxation

I probably got the name of the drug wrong as I was chasing little John around the room as she was talking, is that the drug that you inject into your stomach?
I guess I'll know more when my results are in.

yes and its honestly not that bad. Subcutaneous shots are MUCH easier than intramuscular. Also chances are if you do have MTHFR you also have other clotting tendencies and/or immune iussues(clotting issuies ARE immune issues)
