had my hsg today...repost from ttc
Tubes are clear!!! Yay!! So now I just need a healthy egg to join with some healthy sperm
The procedure did not hurt at all, I was so worried over nothing! The radiologist was amazing, and I had been told she was. I had heard horror stories and could not believe how scared I was over this - it was over in a matter of 7 minutes start to finish.
Anyway, I'm not expecting miracles, I hear people get pg after an hsg, but I am not counting on that.

Honestly, the hsg was nothing! Maybe it was b/c the dr who did mine was great, but I did not feel any discomfort whatsoever. I did take advil prior.

I had no blockage, but kind of hoping it helps "push things along"

I'm glad that everything went well for you. I just got AF today and I have to call to make my appt for hsg. Do they put you asleep for it? We're you able to go to work the same day after it?

I took a half day so I could go home after the procedure, not knowing what to expect - I would have absolutely been fine to go to work, I went food shopping right from the hospital! I was awake, they do not give you anesthesia. They recommend that you take advil an hour prior. The dr/radiologist who did mine was just awesome and really made it an easy experience. Where are you getting it done?

I'm getting it done at NY Hospital of Queens. My doctor prescribed me an antibotic to take the day before, the day of and the day after the hsg to prevent a pelvic infection. This week I have to get my blood taken to check my hormones. I had a sonogram done a few weeks ago and it showed that I had 2 cysts on my left ovary and the report is suggesting that its endometriosis. When I went to the dr this yesterday, she told me of the possibility of have a lap, but she wants me to have all the testing done first.

I took the antibiotic as well. An HSG should show much more than a sono. It's good you're getting it done, best of luck and feel free to fm me with any further questions.
