Hair color - ? for girls who do it themselves
I have used the semi permanent stuff before (it always last longer than the 28 washes).
I purchased some permanent hair color but I'm scared to try it. Will i get a more even hair color? With the semi - my roots are always darker than the rest of my hair

it depends on the condition of your hair. If the ends are rough, then it may hold colour differently. You may need to do a soap cap after the dye is complete but before you rinse.
What colour is your natural hair & what colour are you dying to?

I think if your ends are dry, they don't absorb as much color. Also, are you applying to the roots first?

When I do the semi-perm color I always do my roots first

whats a soap cap?? You mix a small amount of shampoo (usually white or clear shampoo) with the remaining dye and actually soap it onto the ends. It should help even the colour.
