Hair Dye and Japanese Striaghtening Question

For those of you you have Japanese Straightening do you dye your hair?


I've been getting JS for 7 years now, 1x year. Last time was May or June of this year.

Probably going to get Keratin next time...but that's for another post.

But for right now....I usually use the wash out dye (shades/ gloss) for my hair at my salon...but I have been noticing more Grays!!!!

So I think I need something stronger...I wanted to do highlights too but I am nervous.

What do you do with JS as far as Hair color?

you can dye your hair so long as it's not right before or after the process..

ummm highlights ...heck no!!!!!!!!!!!!

they say you can....but omg i have seen sooo many women with massive broken hair after the js and highlights. do a strand test first to see if you hair can handle it.

color... should be okay..but i would NOT do it at home.... sorry i just think js's can be way hairsh...that plus mixed wit other chemicals can be scary gllllll!!

I dye my hair and I have the JS. I wouldn't risk it and do highlights though.

Does anyone get the JS more then once a year (around 8 months or so?). I got mine in May and I am not sure if I should redo it now or wait for the one year mark.
