I do this every year.
I actually buy the candy knowing I'm going to end up eating most of it! (we don't get a lot of trick or treaters)

DH and the kids have already eaten 2 bags of it! I am not a huge candy eater since I have my Invisalign braces in.. but doesn't mean I haven't had my share either!

That's why I only just bought it all today LOL. I learned the hard way last yera LOL. Also, I don't like chocolate, so that's all I bought! DH will def eat all the Kit kats that's for sure HAHA

I can't open the bags or they will be gone before Halloween. I put them in the closet in my DSs room, kinda out of sight out of mind.
They have been there for 3 weeks, so far so good - thank God he is sleeping right now because this post reminded me that it is there!

my parents never got any either. their house is really set back so the kids dont want to waste their time running up to it. she would still buy candy though

It's the one week a year I actually have candy in the house, so I don't feel *that* bad about sitting on the couch with empty Milky Way, 3 Musketeers, Tootsie Roll and Charleston Chew wrappers surrounding me.

I buy candy to give out 'just in case' some kids ring my bell. Have to ahve a variety, so there is chocolate, licorice, lollipops, tootsie rolls - all the good stuff.
Truth is, kids don't trick or treat in my neighborhood.
Alas, the 'just in case' candy doesn't go to waste, just to waist.
