Halloween/Fall decorating......(w/poll)
Is it still to early to decorate this weekend? I want to get mums,pumpkins and bails of hay but I don't want them to die or become rotten before halloween....

I slowly started putting stuff up. Im so lilited to putting anything on the coffee tables because of my boys pulling and grabbing everything

I decorated already but didn't put out anything "live" yet (pumpkins, mums). Mainly because I haven't purchased them yet.  It's not too early though. I see them out everywhere.

I put up my decorations last weekend & got the mums planted. I am waiting to get the pumpkins until maybe this weekend or next.

I started last night with decorating and bought mums. I am going to get a scarecrow and hay this weekend. I think I will wait one more week for pumpkins.

I'm going pumkin pickin next weekend, so I will probably pick up mums then too. I can't wait, we are going out on the island and we are stopping at a great bakery out there and we get pies. Yummy! I can't wait!  I love the fall!

I was going to try and decorate this Sunday. Probably my DH & I will go pumpkin picking middle of Oct. so they don't rot.

OMG. That sounds like so much fun! I remember when I used to go with my brother and his kids.  They're too old now to find that fun.
You're lucky! Between everything I need to get done, plus help my newly home MIL, I'll be lucky if I can buy a pumpkin (or pie) from the grocery store.

awwwwww! I'm not bringing any kids with us. Just me & DH and maybe another couple. 
I understand about the house thing - we are still remodeling our house, but we are just going to make the time next weekend and go. I need a day away from the remodel.  I think you should at least go to a local nursery and get yourself some pumpkins. Have a great fall!

i just bought our mums and put them out with a few "fall" decorations. i'm going to wait until next week to put up the halloween stuff. especially pumpkins, i def think they will be smelly/rotted by halloween if you put them out now, esp in this heat.

i put mums out on the porch and 2 pumpkins. The front door window I put leaf stickies on it.

The only decorating we do is put mums on the porch and I change the seasonal motif on our door sign.
We're getting our mums on Sunday, so I answered this weekend.

It's our first Halloween in a home together so we are going out to buy some decorations tomorrow. My DH will put them up immediately to avoid the chaos of unpacking inside the house I'm sure! So, my vote goes to: This weekend is perfect!
