HALO Breast Pap Test - Yay or Nay?
I went to my gyno for an annual checkup and they mentioned this test (not because of a history of breast cancer, just because they now offer it in their office). It's not covered by my insurance so it would cost me $125...I just wanted to get some of your thoughts on it.

I did it. The test was easy and I got the best result. I am not sure how reliable the test is since it just came out. From what my Dr said, the more fluid they extract from your breast, the more of a chance you have of getting breast cancer. They were barely able to get any fluid from my breat so they said that was the best result. I don't take it for granted though and still do my self checks.

I had it done last week. No insurance companies cover it. It wouldn't be cost effective for Doctors to conduct the test otherwise. It was very uncomfortable, but I think it is the best thing you can do for your health. It detects things before a mammography can.
