Shoprite in Patchogue had a lot of flavors this morning. I got peanut butter cup and chocolate almond crunch.
Chocolate almond crunch???? I missed that one!!
I went to the one in Hauppague and they had a pretty good variety, even peanut butter cup! I almost ended up paying full price because I didn't have their shop rite card (I don't usually shop there). But the old, sweet lady behind me was so nice and offered me to use her card so I could pay the promotion price!
My sister said the Chocolate Almond Crunch tastes like Spumoni!! This just means I need to get to shoprite before that ones gone too lol

Doesn't sound appetizing with the gums, fiber and glycerin added.
I hear ya' (although I don't mind fiber) but it's hard to find an ice cream with perfect ingredients. I just make sure to eat it as a treat, even though I wanna finish the whole container sometimes!
Talking about perfect ingredients, I recently found a super easy avocado ice cream recipe in Pinterest, only 3 ingredients...avocado, coconut milk, and honey. It looks amazing!!!
Creaminess to the third power!

Of course shoprite was out of peanut butter cup flavor! The vultures came and took them all
Ugh I wish I was one of those vultures! . I had such a hectic day yesterday that I didn't get the chance to make a stop in shop right . I wonder if they still have the same prices??
Haagen Daaz is probably one of the only ice creams left that has no stabilizers or fake sugars. It's easy to eat a whole container, so I use a really small dish to limit what I do eat.
Luna and Larry's Coconut Bliss is another option without the fake ingredients. And it is SOOOO good but I can't eat the pint of that like I do halotop! And it has a normal ice cream texture unlike halotop.
I tried coconut bliss one time, I think it was chocolate mint or something like that, and I was not a fan at all!
I forgot to mention Three Little Birds. It's a small vegan ice cream business in NYC that makes ice cream with a cashew milk base and OMG if u guys ever have the chance, give it a try, they truly have an amazing flavor! Unfortunately because it's still a small business, there's not too many stores in LI that carry their ice cream, only a vegan bakery in Williston Park and Whole Foods in Jericho. But it's full fat, and although I really try my hardest to limit myself whenever I get it, it's sooo hard!
Try the dark chocolate! I actually do like the mint chip but my DD and I like the dark chocolate better than Carvel! The dark chocolate popsicles taste like Jello pudding pops from when we were kids (or just me because I'm old )
Hard to describe the texture of halotop... it's not creamy though. I'm not a fan of the chocolate almond crunch. It tastes more like pistachio than chocolate to me. The one I have liked the best so far is regular chocolate. I think the mint chip was decent too. For a lowcal, relatively healthy option, I can deal with the texture!

Re: Halo Ice Cream
I have found that the key to the Halo Top is letting it defrost for a little bit. It's get very creamy and it's really good. I like the PB one the best so far.

Halo Ice Cream
I have tried the Birthday Cake and the PB Cup Halo Top - the Birthday cake was disgusting and had a weird texture and aftertaste, the PB one is quite good!

I never tried the Halo, what is the texture like?
Nothing like real ice cream. If you are looking for an ice cream replacement - this is NOT it!!!

I'll just eat my Talenti Gelato. I'd rather eat a smaller portion of something real and delicious than a whole pint of shit for 250 calories. Moderation

I tried Halo and was really grossed out by it. I would much rather have some Talenti before this stuff.

This! I love it. I'm on WW and I don't eat the whole pint of any ice cream but the point difference per serving is insane compared to other ice creams. Plus, I like the protein in it. I love to add fresh fruits to it. My favorite is the oatmeal cookie and cookies & cream. I've been trying to get my hands on the cookie dough but haven't gotten it.
& yes, the key is to leave it out for a little. It even tells you to on the back. :)

I really like it too, and I usually hate lower calorie ice cream! It's on sale again at Shoprite now for $2.88!

Re: Halo Ice Cream
My best friend's older brother owns an ice cream company in GA...if you want the best ice cream, go to Whole Foods and buy High Road Craft Ice Cream or to Fairway and buy Fairway Ice Cream (they are both made by his company, the Fairway one exclusively for Fairway). I have never tasted anything like those ice cream flavors!

ive been buying different flavors whenit's 2.88 at shoprite. ive tried birthday cake, cookies and cream, choco chip cookie dough and vanilla. i really like the vanilla, and i'll add my own sprinkles and toppings. i think it'll be my go to to keep in the freezer.

Are they also low calorie, low sugar and low carb?

If they taste as good as she says, I am guessing no!

I figured! When I want real Ice cream, I'll have real ice cream. Halo Top is great for having it multiple times a week I don't think anyone would have it instead of regular ice cream, unless they are dieting like I am!

You're not supposed to have real ice cream multiple times a week?

That's not actually true. It's organic Stevia and Erythritol , both are natural. Don't worry, no one is going to force you to eat it!
