Thanks everyone . I feel a little better. Grace woke up from her nap and gave me a HUGE kiss & hug. It's amazing how kids just know when you need a hug and kiss. Anyway, I updated my post in the first post.

Take care of yourself - your health should come first and then you can worry about all the other stuff.

I definitely think you should submit an application. The worst that can happen is they say no.

Girls I could use some hugs today. I am sick with a cold. I am home with Grace and wish My DH could come home early so I could go to sleep. Anyway, We found black mold in our bathroom over the weekend, I may be sick from that, I don't know . Also, we do not know if it is in the walls. We will find out over the weekend.

Then, we had a brownout on Friday due to the storm Friday afternoon and still 1/2 of the outlets in the house do not work. I called the electric company and WE are responsible for THEM frying my circuit when they fixed the power. NONE of my neighbors have this problem, just us.

The thing is due to medical bills, my boss cutting my salary, etc., etc. We do not have the $$$ to have someone come and fix this stuff right now. We will in a few months, but the black mold cannot wait until then. We have a friend who is a contractor. He is coming up here (from Queens) on Saturday. I am not sure if he and DH can fix the mold and electrical issues, but I hope they can. We bought our home when I was first preggo, it was a fixer upper and we thought that we would fix it up over the course of two years. When we bought I was working F/T and was healthy. Well, You all know my story (with my surgery). Point is I did not expect all of this to happen in the last two years. Dh and I had a plan and now my home is falling apart, my body is falling apart and I am trying to get out ducks back in a row. THIS SUCKS! I hope none of you ever have health problems, because even with insurance, you will see everything you have worked hard for over the years go down the tube with one serious illness in the course of about six months.

I usually have more faith in things working out, but I feel like I am getting slammed in the last two months with all kinds of Cr@P. Sorry to vent and complain, I know all of you have you own problems, I just needed to vent.


ETA: Plus, I have my echo on Wed. and I am nervous as he!!. I wish I could erase the last eight months and start over with a clean slate. The worst part is that because of me and my surgery we are in this position. DH would NEVER tell me this, it is just how I feel. I feel totally responsible for all of these problems.

UPDATE: Took a short nap. I just emailed my SIL and told her everything. I feel better. She emailed me that she saw her neighbor walking his dog around her complex in his underwear and robe this morning. She waved to him and his robe came undone. LOL. I needed a good laugh!
She also suggested that we submit a application to Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I told her that there would be no way they would ever pick us. She told me I should submit it anyway just to see what happens. I don't know, should I? What do you all think?

I hope you feel better soon, and your Echo goes smoothly.

As far as everything else, for some reason when it rains it always pours. Try to take a deep breath and step away from the situation. Try to tackle one thing at a time and whenever you feel overwhelmed, take a peek at Grace. I'm sure she knows just when to turn on that charm and make you smile.

I definitely think you should submit an application for extreme home makeover. Why not? You don't have anything to lose, and if they do pick you all your house worries will be solved!

also, would your homeowners cover any of the immediate repairs that need to be done? Like the possible mold problem, if its a leaky pipe....
Electrical damage due to the storm.. etc.

Still home sick today. I am going to fill out the application today and hopefully my neighbor can tape us this weekend. Who knows? I never thought I would be filling out the application for EMHE. As great as it would be to have them help us, I wish we did not NEED the help, KWIM?

Anyway any prayers for us to be on the show would be appreciated. Thanks!

UPDATED 10/24/07:

Just came back from the cardiologist, the one at Valley Hospital (where I do my cardiac rehab). He is not my regular cardiologist, I have to see him until my rehab is over. I have the results of the echo. The right ventricle is functioning at the same level today as it was five days after my surgery. So it is not getting better with cardiac rehab, yet it is not worse.
I am a little discouraged about this news, but what more can I do? I have four more weeks of rehab, then we will have another echo.

I lost it in the dr's office, cried my eyes out because I was so frustrated. Then my cardiologist suggested that I am depressed and I should take zoloft. WTH? I explained to him that I want to be off all meds, not take more. Plus, that everything I am feeling is normal. I asked him wouldn't you be frustrated if you were 32 and going through this? Then, he handed me the prescription and said, " I really think you need to accept what is happening and you should take zoloft". W T F?

I immediately called my cardiologist at Columbia. He told me not to take the zoloft, that what I am feeling is normal and that I should see him after my rehab is done. That I should not see the cardiologist at Valley anymore. I am frustrated and emotionally exhausted. So that is the story and I will know more in about four weeks. Thanks for all of your prayers, at least the Right Ventricle did not get worse.
