Hard Lump behind my 16 months old ear
I just felt a hard lump behind my ds ear and I am freaking out. I touch it and press it and it dosen't seem to bother him. I am hoping someone can give me some advice on what it can be. By the time I found it the dr was already closed, I will be calling first thing tomorrow morning. But before than, does anyone have any ideas. Thank you so much in advance.

No clue but I do get them when I have allergy problems maybe it is a lymph node??? I wouldn't stress until you speak to your ped.

This happened to my son when he was about 9 mos old. He had an infection, and his lymph node became enlarged. I had the same thing happen to myself about 5 yrs ago and it wound up up to be the same thing. It was sooo scary. HUGS and try not to worry and take him the the Ped.

THis is exactly what I was going to say. When the lymp nodes swell behind the ear that's one of the first signs of an infection such as an ear infection or something viral.

Re: Hard Lump behind my 16 months old ear
This just happened to my son a couple of months ago. I totally was freaked out and took him to the doctor...it was a lymph node that swelled. His was parallel to his ear but toward the back of his head. Sounds the same as what you describe so try not to worry! I was panicked till I went and it was like oh, no big deal, swollen lymph node. And it went down on it's own.
