Hardwood floor refinished ... ripples?
We had our floors done (long story) Now that they are totally dry, I see ripples going across the floors in both rooms. I looked at my other rooms that were done 7 years ago, no ripples.
I left a message with floor guy to see what’s up with this but wanted to ask does anyone have this? Is this normal?
The thought of moving out for a week to have them redone again is giving me such anxiety - I didn’t sleep at all last night

Zoom in and look at lines going across the floor opposite direction of planks

Yeah, those ripples are pretty obvious, even in a pic. I'm sure it's worse in person. That's definitely not right.

I know it. My husband thibks I’m nuts but I know what I see. It goes through the entire 2 rooms and hallway they did.
My cabinets are going up next week - there is no time to have them redone before that. Now i worry they (whoever redoes them because I’m not sure i trust the same company now) are gonna damage my new cabinets with the machines!!!!

oh yea i see now- i looked quick on my tablet when I was at work so i didn't get as good of a look. My floors were refinished in a dark color like that, and I don't have that on my floors. I would definitely get the guys back in to fix that

I see the ripples. It is a sanding error. They will most likely have to re-sand to get them out. It is not normal but it does happen. And it is hard to notice until the clear coat gets put on. That is what makes it show to the eye.

If the person using the machine isn’t that great than you might see some unevenness.
