Hardwood Floor vs Bamboo
We want to get new floors and I was thinking either Hardwood or Bamboo. Anyone get bamboo floors? are they stronger then hardwood, we have 2 big digs and I don't want to get something that they will ruin, and I hate my carpet and lineloum that we currently have.

We have engineered hardwood bamboo and it looks great but has gotten scratched and dented from my dogs

With 2 big dogs, I would think the wood would hold up better to them but then again, I have no experience with bamboo.

bamboo is more environmentally friendly- it is a grass and grows very quickly, whereas with hardwood they are cutting down trees that take decades or centuries to grow.
From what I understand bamboo is just as durable. Have you considered cork? That is another environmentally friendly alternative to hardwood. We were going to do bamboo or cork in our kitchen but the previous owners left hardwood for us to install.

From what I have seen the bamboo is harder then some woods, I guess it all depends. I know nothing about cork, but I will look into that too. Thanks!
