Has any done a basement reno?
DH and I are looking to renovate a small area of our unfinished basement for a guest room. The problem is the area is near our oil burner / water heater (about 3-5 feet away). Do you think this project is a good idea? I'm concerned about a potential fire threat with a guest sleeping so close to the burner.

Are you going to box off the area where the burner us? It should be ok? My DH redid our basement and he just sheetrocked that area in.
