If you've done a basement reno, please come in
DH and I are looking to redo part of our basement (half is finished, the other is not). In the finished area, we would like to redo the sheetrock, paint and carpet. We would also like a plumber to run pipes so we have a separate thermo for the basement bc it gets freezing cold in the winter. Ideally, we would like a small bathroom as well (maybe even a half bath, depending on the price). The area I'm writing about is 12x16. Any ideas on what this would run roughly?

are you running new electric down there as well? We just redid our basement and spent close to 20K. That also included redoing some of the steps, rerunning a gas line to move the dryer, carpet, rerun all electric, and getting it sealed to lock out water. I think our basement is bigger than yours though....I have no clue how many square feet.
