Re: Has any painted with BM Aura paint?

I just used it this past weekend while helping my sister paint her master bedroom.

I don't like it. It dries too fast, making touchups to drips marks, etc. a nightmare. Plus they're going to need a 2nd coat.

I much prefer a tinted primer (regardless of how light or dark the color is) and then BM's regular paint.

I didn't get it but I did ask our painter about it. He really only recommends it for dark saturated colors. If you plan on doing light colors he says it is a waste of money.

you dont need a primer and darker colors come out crisp.

it is extremely durable and washable and comes in any sheen

We used it in our bedroom. It was ok to use. We used the regular BM paints for the rest of the house. Not worth the extra money in my opinion. The colors came out great with the regular BM. Pics are in my album.

We primed rooms that we had to spackle and then painted.

WHen I read that I was soooooo nervous to use it but there was no turning back cause the colors were mixed and i have it...But I loved it! Lke I said we had darker colors so it is just 1 coat and I was able to fix drip marks. Just roll slow, You are supposed to cut in first wait an hour for it to dry then roll. It was scary at first it dries funny with roller mark but if you wait the hour the color looks gorgeous. I am a bad painter too and my DH couldnt believe it. We are going to use the leftover paint for another room.
