Has anyone been to or had a wedding at the VIP Club in Westchester?
Looking for feedback - positive and negative on everything from the food to the service etc. Thanks in advance!

I almost chose it for my wedding. I did like it but chose another place instead. I don't recall too much of my reasonings though.
Sorry I can't tell you more!

My brother got married there a number of years ago but did not realize it was also prom season when he did it. It was lovely regardless of the hoochie dresses that were parading through the lobby.

Re: Has anyone been to or had a wedding at the VIP Club in Westchester?
I just went to a wedding there recently- VERY recently- in fact. I love weddings and loved this one- but it was more because of the love between the couple and the amazing, killer band.
In all honesty, I didn't think VIP did the best job for this couple. During the ceremony, you could loudly hear another wedding going on. Donna Summer's Hot Stuff was a little distracting. Also, because they are turning the back part of the room over for the reception during wedding ceremony- you could hear the loud clanking of dishes and cutlery behind the partition. I felt a little bad for the couple getting married.
The food was good though and the ballroom was lovely.

My best friend got married there and it was fantastic. But she got lucky and was the only event that night.

I went to a wedding there about 5 or 6 years ago and it was AMAZING...the most incredible cocktail hour I've ever seen at a wedding. I've never eaten so much at a wedding...it was fantastic.

Re: Has anyone been to or had a wedding at the VIP Club in Westchester?
I'm an event planner, and was there in April for a wedding. I dealt with Mike and he was superb - constantly attended to the guests needs, and that of the couple.
The food was great, and plentiful, the price was very reasonable.
We had a major "issue" and they handled it perfectly without hassling the couple. The ceremony/reception were on site, and the ceremony was delayed by 45 minutes b/c of massive traffic in NYC, and a bus-load of guests were stuck in it (the Pope was in town.) The ceremony was delayed, the cocktail hour was cut from 1.5 hrs to 1 hr, and the reception was 4 hours. Most places will charge you overtime and could care less that things run late - it's not their fault. The night was handled seamlessly, and I'm going back there in May '09, and know my experience again will be a great one.
The ONLY complaint that I have is that you cannot do any outdoor pictures there - there is no terrace/no garden area - the outside of the venue is essentially a concrete parking lot, and that's it. So, if you're doing indoor pictures - VIP is great, but if you want outdoor pictures - anticipate doing them somewhere else - Davenport Park/New Rochelle High School, etc.
Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I went to a wedding there last year. The cocktail hour was amazing, the dinner was delicious. I thought everything was great, including the service. I don't know if she was the only event that night, but if there was another one we never knew about it. I know the bride was very happy with everything.
For pictures they went to a nearby park that is on the Hudson, but I don't remember the name.

I was in a wedding there and I thought it was good. Nothing stood out one way or the other really. I will say though, that there was an outdoor area--I guess like a deck or a patio--right outside the room and half the people ended up hanging out there for a decent amount of time smoking and what not...me included.

Yup.. it was a good sized area, too... overlooking a small water fountain down below.
