Has anyone ever conceived AFTER they missed their period? I think I have...
Does anyone have any experience with this? My last period was December 11th. I missed my January period and took a blood test 3 days after my missed period. I wasn't pregnant. I took a home pregnancy test 5 days after my missed period. Not pregnant.
Today, almost 2 months after my last period I took 2 home pregnancy tests and they were both very positive!!! I am shocked. I am sort of in disbelief, thinking I can't be pregnant.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
BTW, if you are facebook friends with me, please don't say anything.

I don't have any experience with this but the only thing I can think of is that your cycle was longer than normal. Congrats!!!!!!!

Congrats!!! That is exactly what happened to me although i didn't consider myself as "missing" my period because i was newly off the pill with a history of irregular cycles. A normal 28-30 day cycle rolled around with no AF and lots of bfn. I kept testing every few days until I got a bfp on cd56! It's almost like I got af on cd28 and started a new cycle but AF had never showed. It turns out I ovulated late, around cd41-43. Some people just have wacky long cycles ;)

the only thing i can think of is that you tested too early based on when you ovulated...sounds to me like congratulations are in order though!!! make an appointment with your doctor and keep us posted

I conceived on CD46 and got my BFP on CD62. I have a history of very long, irregular cycles, though. But my first two cycles last year before that were each 34 days, so the PG test I took on day 37 was negative the cycle we did conceive. So I guess I did conceive after my missed period like you're saying. But really it was just a long cycle.

are your cylcles usually regular? maybe you just didnt realize you ovulated later than you originally thought...that could be it.

I have irregular cycles so technically I missed 3 periods and somehow got pregnant.

Thanks everyone! I really am in disbelief. It just hasn't sunk in!!! My OB appointment is February 24th. Hope all is well!
Now I need to remember all things I can and can't do as a pregnant woman.
