Has anyone ever had used two OPK and had different results?
Hi Ladies, last night I had a positive OPK from Answer. Just to be sure I did it accurately I took the test again this morning with Answer and Clear Blue digital OPK. I did this because my period was off last month and I wanted to be extra sure I would O soon. The point, Answer came back positive for LH surge but the Clearblue digital didn't. Which do I believe? So frustrating. Or do I just BD for the rest of the week and hope for the best?

You don't necessarily get more than one positive OPK - it indicates ovulation is approaching. If you got a surge last night - that probably means you O'd today or will tomorrow. Also, it's usually not recommended to use FMU (first morning urine) when using an OPK. I hope you BD'd and continue to do so for a couple of days!

Even though I used two different OPK shouldn't I have received the same results? I thought I would. However I did BD last night just in case I do O btw today and tomorrow. Thanks!

Sorry - I misunderstood. Did you use the same urine sample?

Re: Has anyone ever had used two OPK and had different results?
I think the FMU rule is for detecting the first day of your surge. Once you detect your surge they way your are supposed to, it will be in FMU the next day if the hormone is still in your system. This depends on the person.
Anyway, I have used CBE (not digital) and Answer once and got an immediate + with Answer and only a faint line with CBE.
Then the following month i got a + with CBE immediatly (from the same package) and with answer it took the full wait time for it to darken. So i tested with a few other answer strips and they were ok, sometimes i test with 2 strips when i know i am really close - i have it down to a day or two and i use the answer strips so there are 20 in a pack. - i have found answer to be the most consistent ones, plus i get O pains the day i get a +OPK
HTH... Good luck

Thanks for your reply. Answer has been more consistent for me as well. According to my chart on mymonthlycycles.com today is my "supposed" day to O. And I'm pretty confident I am since I'm having twinges on my left side today. Thanks again.

FYI-you should NOT test with FMU-for ovulation test between 12-8 P.M. For pregnancy tests you use FMU

What does FMU stand for? Sorry I'm not up on all the lingo.
