Has anyone ever taken a Michaels cake decorating class?
Do you have to go in order from class 1 to 2 to 3 to 4? I would like to take the fondant class but its number 3 and I haven't taken any other classes.

Take whatever you feel most comfortable with! I took those classes years ago, but I started from the beginning. I probably could've skipped the first one or two, but I did pick up some tips and tricks from them that I still use today!

I took the courses in order, I doubt you have to take the other classes before fondant because fondant is much different from the others. But I did enjoy taking them in order

Has anyone ever taken a Michaels cake decorating class?
They say you should take class 1 before taking 2 as 1 & 2 go together, and take class 3 before taking 4, as these 3 & 4 go together. I took 1,3 and 4. Still waiting to take 2. The times for course 2 were not good for me so far.

Has anyone ever taken a Michaels cake decorating class?
I think you haev to take them in order and get the "certificate" - To be honest, I took Course 1 and it was really annoying that I had to hand make all of my own icing. It took forever!! But I do know how to make a shell boarder and a rose now.

i took course 1. making icing was the worst!!!! i tried making icing for the 1st time at midnight before my class the next day and my hand mixer broke! i went to every 24 hr cvs/rite aid in the area and none of them had a mixer.. so i took a POWER DRILL and put in the whisk where the drill was supposed to go and went to town!!!! i'll never forget it!
