My 2nd cake decorating class is tonight!
SO excited!!! My mom and I are taking it together. We just made all the frosting and are getting ready to bake the cakes  Yeah!!! (sorry if I sound like a nut- I love to bake and decorate and I've been trying to take this class FOREVER but could never find anyone to go- my mom's finally off for summer so we're going!!! )

Yup! We actually had a lot of fun- though it was def. a lot of work to get the whole cake done in 2 hours (really less than 1 hour b/c the first hour + is learning how to use each tip). We actually made a rainbow using the star pattern- I'll post pics once I actually take some.

wow, that's great! i'd love to see some pictures. I've always thought about doing one of those classes and just never have. Would love to hear about and see what they have you do!

It was really fun- I'm SO glad we made the time to take the class. Last week we made a rainbow on a blue cake w/ clouds (still haven't uploaded any pics though) and next week we're making cupcakes with clowns on them.... should be fun 
I have always played around w/ cake decorating- I have a neice and 2 nephews and have countless pics of cakes I thought they'd like for their birthday parties, etc.... so now I can finally start to do them!!!

I did clown cupcakes last week and learned how to make drop flowers but I gave the cupcakes to my niece and nephew and never got a pic
When I find time to practice after I'm feeling a little better I'll do them again and post pics! I missed my last class and have to make it up in the next couple of weeks I think, so I'll post pics of that cake then too!
