Has anyone ever used a babysitter/nanny on a cruise or resort? How was your experience?

I'm trying to plan a tropical trip for January or February. DH thinks we should leave DS and go by ourselves but I want to bring DS with us.
I know that the Beaches resorts and the FDR Resort in Jamaica boast about their babysitting services.
DS has only had family babysitters.
Has anyone used a nanny/babysitting service at a resort? How was your experience?

We went on a cruise with DS when he was 8mos and they didn't do babysitting under 1 year old.
But I totally would have used it if I could have.

We went to Disney in August and used their babysitting service. We actually had 2 babysitters because there were 5 children total. I was extremely happy with the service. Until that point, DS had only been watched by family. I had a wonderful experience using their babysitting. They gave me a detailed report of DS's evening when I got back and they were great with DS.

How was your cruise experience with an 8 month old?
DS will probably be 10m old when we go if we take him. I'm not a fan of cruises but if it easier to take DS with us, I won't rule out a cruise in the caribbean.

We have used baby sitters in Aruba and Peurto Rico. In Aruba, the sitter was recommended by a friend. In Puerto Rice, we got a list from the hotel and used a sitter through them. They were all pre-screened and I felt VERY comfortable leaving my 2 children with both nannies. Strangely, more comfortable than I am leaving them with a sitter here

Well, we are big crusiers.
It was fun, but it was also the week between Christmas and New Year's so it was soo crowded.
I'll be honest that there isn't much to do with a baby. I would totally go NOW that he is older
