I know it probably would be rough for a little bit, but I'd try to skip that 6pm nap. He is old enough that that one, one hour nap is not a deal breaker and that may make bedtime a little easier on you.
And I don't know how comfortable you are with it, but Christopher is a blankie kid. He loves his blankie and he did at Rylan's age too. And I thought blankie when you were describing how he rolls into you to get comfy, he needs a comfort and you are it right now!
I hope it gets better, I know you are frustrated
We've tried so many times to skip the evening nap but he just fusses and cries until I give him the bottle. Then he's out within 5 minutes. I really do hold out as long as I can but he misserable in the meantime.
I have no problem giving him a blanket...he's had one since day 1 but it doesn't do anything for him. I can't even count the amount of stuffed animal and blankie type things that i've bought hoping he'd become attached to one of them. I wish I could miniturize myself to put in the crib with him.
He was extremely colicky as an infant so I basically did anything and everything to make him sleep that he still expects it.
I feel like it's my fault...that i've screwed up so bad there's no way to fix it now.
