Has anyone given their DC the flu vaccine by the time they were a month old?
Our Dr wants us to do this at 4 weeks old.. just wondering what everyone is doing?

That is impossible. They are not allowed before 6 mths of age. Are you sure you have that right?

no flu shot before they are 6 months old.

i agree with the OP. check again. they can't be younger than 6 months...that's why i got it while i was pregnant.

The rule is that the have to be 6 months old to receive it. I would definitely NOT give it before that time. Did they give you a reason as to why they want to give a vaccine well before the recommended time frame?

I'm just going to call & confirm with the Dr. I checked our next appt card after I got home from the 2 week visit & it said "FLU shot to be given at 1 month" even though the Dr never metioned it to me. I'm sure it was a mistake then.

That HAS to be a mistake. I would definatley NOT allow them to give it to your DC.

defintely not under 6 months.
we got it right at 6 months, then the swine flu, the the second half of the flu, then the second half of swine flu
