Has anyone had any luck replacing an iPOD battery?
I'm scared that my 4th Generation 20BG iPod is on it's last legs. I dread getting a new one because I'm scared I will not be able to get all my music on the new iPOD. Has anyone replaced a battery without screwing their iPOD? Is it worth it? Or is it really easy to get my current music on the new iPod? I've seen a lot of posts about it, but I am not gifted in things technical, so it seems scary to me!
Thanks for your input/advice.

I've never replaced an iPod battery, but I did recently upload all the songs from my iPod into my library on my new computer. Here's the website I found that takes you through it step by step.
How to Move Music From Your iPod to Your Library Without Software

Some fall into that catergory. I just wish that you could plug your new ipod into your old library and load it that way.
Renee - thanks for the link - going to take a look - my situation isn't new computer though - it would be same computer, new ipod.

I don't think it matters if it's on the same computer. I think it still will help upload the songs you want into your current iPod. It's a lot of steps...I also wish I could just plug in my iPod and get the songs that way. It would make things alot easier.

correct, it doesn't matter where you do it at.
ipod does this because if you were to transfer stuff to your machine, then move it back to someone elses machine, its consider stealing as they don't know if you are using your songs on your computers. you can go to everyplace in town and dump your music off.
Yes there are steps around this with software and another way to do it in like 20 steps are so.

Go to your main menu and open up 'computer' or 'my computer'. Then, click on 'my music'. At that point you should see the organize button at the top left.
