yes, most of our rooms do not have pure white ceilings but we have crown moulding that is painted white instead of matching the ceiling color.
I can post pics later from home.

We painted our bedroom a creamy cocoa color & painted the ceiling the lighter color on the same paint chip. It warms up the room...I would do it again.

We painted our bedroom a creamy cocoa color & painted the ceiling the lighter color on the same paint chip. It warms up the room...I would do it again.
We did the same thing in our BR. I read that since there isn't such a drastic contrast between the wall color and ceiling color, it is supposed to make the ceilings seem higher. I don't know if my room feels bigger b/c of this or if it was just the different paint color, but I love the look of it.
