Has anyone read the Unenchanted series?
The third book just came out and I'm reading it. They're not very well-written, but the concept is very interesting. A new take on fairy tales.

Re: Has anyone read the Unenchanted series?
I've never heard of them, but I'm interested! I was reading another collection that sounds pretty similar. It's not a series, but rather a collection of modern twists on fairy tales (The collection is called Fairytale Retellings). I've only read the one about Little Red Riding Hood, but I downloaded one about Cinderella and there's another one about Hansel and Gretel.
The one I read is called Sisters Red. It was okay- not the greatest book but entertaining. I enjoyed the ending because there was a part that stuck with me as incredibly clever and I've never forgotten it. I'm going to check out the UnEnchanted series though!
ETA: Oh, hmm, the Cinderella book I downloaded (Cinder) is part of a different series. Oh well, Sisters Red was still good!

agreed, not really well written, but cute and interesting concepts and quick reads - they're like tween books I dno't think they're written to make 30 somethings stop and contemplate life - but I'm entertained for an hour on the train, so i'm happy

I just read the first one since it was free on the Nook! It was really good!
