Has anyone seen a temp difference when changing thermometers?

So I bought a new thermometer b/c my old one broke on CD17 (when I normally O on CD18)

Here's my temps-I start at CD7
CD7-CD16 (old thermometer) 97.2 and once it was 97.5
CD17-no temp taken b/c thermometer broke
CD18 97.2 (with new thermomter)
CD19 96.8- I shold have O'd yesterday as I always O on CD18...
Could it be the thermometer? Ive never had a temp at 96.8.. that's kinda low for me. SO that means.. either I didnt O... or the thermometer reads differently that my old one..
what do you think?

Well, from what Ive read you should stick to the same thermometer. It could def. be the thermometer that is throwing your temps off.
