Re: Has anyone sold there home FSBO?
My parents did... kind of... They had some trouble with them though... They didn't advertise the open house correctly (put the picture and address of our house, with the description of another house), and other things like that...
They ended up also listing with a realtor, and had a deal with them that if the house was sold from fsbo, they'd only get partial commission, which is what happened.
They just got really frustrated with them since they feel that they may have lost a potential buyer because of FSBO's mistakes.
Good luck with your decision

We did. It was awesome. We did a thorough cleaning, crafted two ads, then made a fact sheet. Had that waiting with some food for people and showed the house by appointment on that sunday the ads ran. House sold in two hours at full asking price. Continued showing the house for backup and got two more offers, but we gave our word to the other people... Try FSBO first!

We are in the process of doing it now - It is a PITA, but you can save money because you dont have to pay a realtor

Re: Has anyone sold there home FSBO?
We are in the process of a FSBO on our co-op. The advertising and showing are time consuming but, in my opinion, the easiest of the actions involved. It is definitely important to have a good real estate attorney working with you. I also find that getting pre-approvals with offers is helpful - it saves time and hassle in the long run.
