It didn't bother me too much in general, but one house we saw twice (2 different open houses) and BOTH times, the teenaged son was in his room; once asleep in his BED and another time just got out of the shower, when we were walking through the rooms. Chat Icon

We had the same thing happen to us! The day we closed I still hadn't seen one of the bedrooms because the teenage son was ALWAYS around! Luckily hubby was able to see it during the inspection.

I personally would have demanded to see it or not place the bid. I would be afraid the room had something in there that they were hiding (other than a lazy son)!Chat Icon

ITA! There is no way I would have gone that far in the process without seeing 1 of the rooms. You are a braver woman than I!

I am selling too and have the problem where the REA says they will be there withing an hour time frame and either not show up or come way late. that is SOOOO annoying.
Last week, we had a showing at 8:00pm b/c the girl works in the city. this was totally fine but i couldn't be out with the kids b/c they go to bed at 8:30, and 8:00 is "down time"

other than that, i try not to be home the most i can.

one time, i was backing out of my driveway as the realtor pulled up and they didn't go in the house b/c they thought i didn't want to let them in?!?!?

I went in one house and saw the home owners and turned around and walked out...
