Have you ever rented/shared a house with people over the summer in the Jersey Shore or the Hamptoms?

Just wondering how many people have done this.

We rented an amazing Hamptons house for the summer with about 100 other people. It was crazy. We were giving people half shares, quarter shares, you name it - just to make it cheaper for everyone.

It was hands down the best summer of my life. Such a great time.

I couldn't party like that now if my life depended on it.

I ended up dating a boy in our house. I broke rule #1. Never fall in love at the Hamptons

Yes!!! You already know I have. Never fall in love at the Jersey Shore!! Come on... every weekend someone was hooking up with someone else!

Belmar shore house for about 5 summers. When I graduated from it (DH and I were together and getting serious so wasn't worth it) my friends moved to Manasquan.

You know my fav dive bar... The Trop. Loved Bar A, Paul's, just going to DJaise to make fun of the guidos and some other local places.

Ahhh... my 20's were fun! Hoboken all winter where I lived and Jersey shore all summer.

I had a jersey shore house every summer, still do actually. When I was in HS/College it was usually Seaside or LBI. As I got older it was usually with family so it was LBI or Ocean Beach, the last couple of years we get one with DH's family at Ocean Beach, it's nice and quiet but we can go to the boardwalk if we want some entertainment. DH and I also try to get down to Cape May for a couple of long weekends every summer because we looooove it down there...amazing restaurants and totally different vibe than your standard shore town.

But when I was in hs/college, yeah it was nuts....too many of us trying to squeeze into a shittty house to make it as cheap as possible. I would swear at the end of every summer that I would never do it again but I always did.

My parents owned a beach house in the hamptons since I was about 12 so no for renting one, but we DID used to pile like 50 of our friends in for various weekends when we were about 18-20...

My husband always got a house in Belmar when he was young...

I never did and it always seemed like an odd thing to me since my grandmother lived in the Hamptons and I had been spending parts of summers there all my life (ironically, up until I could have been out partying).

Funny thing is my DH (who had a few Hamptons houses over the years) had a summer rental down the road from my grandmother's house (years before we knew eachother)!!!

I've stayed in a bunch of share houses in both the Hamptons and Jersey but I used to do one in Fire Island. I specifically said I was NOT looking for love on memorial day weekend... met DH the following weekend in Schooners and the rest is history Those were the most fun summers ever.

my family always went to wildwood a week out of the summer...that was fine.

but a jersey shore house? never. my cousins always went in on one...
I would go once every summer and know that it was not for me. too messy, people throwing up, beer cans everywhere...i am not fun in those types of atmospheres

My BFF's parents had a house in the hampton bays so we never needed to....but we had just as much fun with our neighborhood friends at the house

But I studied abroad and had 9 roomates senior yr of college so I have done that scene

Ah..Just one more night....would I survive it ????

I spent 4 summers in South Hampton, not quite "Jersey Shore"..... Not even close. But I was in my mid 20's, as were my sharemates, and we were all pretty much young profesionals at that time. There was some partying, lots of drinking and limited drama.

We had a 10 BR house in the Bays! It was the most fun summer of my life! And I didn't fall in love in the Hamptons, I was a run around sue! lol

Nope, never...

I grew up here in NY, but went to college in Indiana and wound up staying there for the summers. After college, I moved to Chicago and didn't move back to NY until 2000.

My friends would rent houses in Hampton Bays back in the early 90's...i'd party with them & then go back to my clean, quiet, puke free summerhouse to sleep...i remember a fling or two...loved CPIs and Beach Bar..and Neptunes.

Did a small Hamptons house with 5 of my friends for a bunch of years.

Loved it...those were the best summers I ever had.
