This commercial kills me - I actually showed it to some coworkers today and I tried to show it to one of my classes, but the computer froze!

oh i saw it for the first time yesterday and dh was there with me and my eyes welled up with tears and when it was over i just said wow thats powerful and it really was!

Oh my Goodness!!! I absolutely freaked when I saw this commercial. How was this filmed?!?! that little boy looked legitamately frightened......did they really make him think he was lost???? f they did that is just horrible, all to make a point about smoking!!! Find another way people....the poor kid was probably traumatized.

I cry when i see it - so much so that my 3 year old said yesterday "dont watch the lost boy mommy or you will cry". I am using it as a training tool for her to hold my hand when we are out - It kills me

ALL those anti-smoking commercials upset me. My sister and I grew up in a house with 2 parents who were smokers. At the dinner table, in the living room watching TV, in the car…all of my memories are of seeing clouds of smoke and my clothes stinking and friends asking ME if I smoked. We could never escape it and God forbid one day we have health issues because of it.

Me too! I also lost my mom to Lung Cancer 4 months after my wedding (she was FINE at my wedding)
I can't watch any of those anti smoking commercials 5 years after losing my mom they still hurt me!
ETA: My Mom tried to quit more times than I can remember...she finally quit the day of her cancer diagnosis.

I'm sure the kid is an actor. Kids cry on TV everyday, it's not a big deal. Smoking and risking you and your kids life, that's a big deal. I think the ad says a lot, and hopefully it makes smokers think about quitting.
