Having a little pity party...anyone want to join?
So now that winter break is almost over I'm dreading going back to work. I've already been back for 2 weeks, but I just can't seem to get back into it. To make matters worse all my good friends at work are either still out on maternity leave or just starting it. While I couldn't be happier for them it just makes me feel so bad about leaving my little one with a babysitter. When does this feeling go away?

You will get into a routine. It gets better with time. hang in there.

It is sooo hard, but in time I'm sure you will feel better. You have to realize that you are doing this for your DC. I found that once I was comfortable with who is watching my DD, I felt okay. I knew that she loved her nanny and it really makes the time you spend with your DC that much special. As for your friends on maternity leave, they have to or probably will come back at some point. By then, you'll be the one comforting them. I know it's so hard though. Hang in there.

Sorry your down. I have to go back to work next monday after being out for 4 months. I am completely dreading it now and the fact that everyone I know, including my own boss, makes me feel like cr@p for putting her in daycare so young, doesn't help make the situation any easier.
