Having twins vs. singleton....
For the ladies going under fertility treatments - do you ever feel like you WANT to be pregnant with twins so you only have to go through one round of fertility drugs? I'm doing IVF next month and I got all my medications and needles in the mail recently and the more I look at them, the more I feel so selfish for wanting to have twins so I don't have to go through this process again. I guess I'm getting so anxious staring at all these needles which I'm not a fan AT ALL!! When we started seeing my RE, I said to myself, I just want one healthy baby and now, I feel so guilty for wanting twins!!

At this point I dont care if I have twins or one baby. I will be happy with one if thats what I am blessed to have.
Good luck

Re: Having twins vs. singleton....
Don't feel guilty!!!
I would love to have twins!! Of course I would like even ONE healthy baby, but I would be thrilled to have two at once!!
Personally, even if I did have twins, I would still try and have a third.. I would want to experience the 'baby' phase again but I also always wanted a family with 3 kids.
Don't feel bad about this at all!!! We go through so much to get that BFP, you are free to hope for anything you want!!!! (just as long as you don't hope to be an octomom!! )

LOL!!! What if I do want to be OCTOMOM??!!! LOL...I kid, I kid! Yeah, at this point, I just hope and pray that I WILL be able to get pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy. If it's one baby, I'll be happy, if it's twins, I'll be thrilled!! I'm with you, I always wanted 3 kids. Let's hope that our stay here is short!!

Re: Having twins vs. singleton....
I've been saying for months that I want to have twins so I can be DONE! I am getting older (impatient) and truly am not sure if I could go through all of this again.

Re: Having twins vs. singleton....
I felt the same way at first. I thought it would be so nice to have 2 at once and most likely be done (at least for a few years). Now that I was given a singleton (through IUI)i'm very happy with the 1 for now lol She's enough to handle on her own! I couldnt imagine having 2 and taking care of them together

Re: Having twins vs. singleton....
I would have loved to have twins & be done with this... especially going through so many injections and still having numb patches on my butt.
We did a 3 embro transfer & 1 took s/p D5T. Imagine 1 baby after an 18 egg harvest, 10 great fertilized embryos, ect.
But honestly, the time passes & you start to realize it wasn't all so bad.
Perhaps most importantly... it's not up to us to choose 1 or 2 or 3.
