He has a double ear infection!
Daycare called at 3 and said he had a fever of 103.7!!
I rushed him over to the ped! They said he had a double ear infection. his left ear is alot worse than the right! He is on amoxicillan and Motrin.
At the ped his temp went down to 102.9 and when I put him to bed it was 101.5
I pray he is better in the morning
It was SO scary because he was SO lethargic when I picked him up from daycare. I was watching him in the car mirror and he was just zoning in and out. I was so scared he was going to have a februil (sp?) seizure!

Re: He has a double ear infection!
poor little guy I have 2 DC with constant ear infections. I feel your pain. They do take a few days to feel better though, so don't panic if he's still not feeling great tomorrow. Give the meds a good 48 to work, if there's no improvement after 2 full days of the amoxicillian take him for a recheck. My DD never responded to amoxicillian or omnicef, only augmentin. DS doesn't respond to those either, but does ok on a higher dose of amoxicillan (which is easier on the tummy of augmentin)
Hope he feels better soon!!!
Oh and don't be afraid to alternate the tylenol and motrin for a few days if he's uncomfortable or running a fever. It's very painful. Sometimes they refuse the bottle because it hurts to drink. DD never stopped drinking, but DS does.
