Double Ear Infection
We just got back from the ped. Landon has a double ear infection. This explains his grumpyness and lack of desire to eat. I was blaming everything on teething, since he just cut 2 teeth. I feel guilty that I didn't take him sooner

Re: Double Ear Infection
DD is prone to ear infections but her first one took me a while to take her in too b/c it does seem like teething. Now you know the symptoms, you'll know to bring him in. Don't worry, you are not the only one!

Oh no! Don't feel bad, you had no way to know. What were his other symptoms?

Re: Double Ear Infection
This happened with my DS #1 when he was about a year old. We felt bad too bc the dr said she was surprised he wasn't screaming in pain, it was that bad. But we had not way of knowing - he didn't have the classic signs.
Hope your DS is 100% very soon. Try not to feel guilty, it's not like you saw him in pain and let it go. I know after my DS had that double ear infection, we ended up going back to the ped at the first sign of any sneeze or sniffle and he never had the same infection but we were paranoid.

He has a cold, he is very grumpy, he has been pulling on his ears alittle bit, not wanting to eat, not wanting anything to touch his mouth. I just thought he had a little cold along with the teething, b/c he just got his 2nd tooth in a week. His cough seemed to be getting worse so thats why I took him. I wasn't expecting ear infection. I thought he maybe had bronchiolitis.
ETA: no fever.

Thanks for the info. We've got a cold over here too so I was just curious what else you were seeing. I really hope he feels better soon!!!
