Headboard Question

If we buy a queen size bed it will fit on the wall without covering the window, but if we buy a king size bed (the headboard) will cover the window slightly. Will that look stupid? Does anyone's headboard cover their window at all - anyone have any pix to share?

Re: Headboard Question

No - I don't think it will look stupid - and I would buy the King because you say that you will be moving in a few years ---well it would be a waste to get a new bedroom set that you love now and that costs alot of $$$ - to then have to get a whole new bed in a few years.

If this was going to be the home for you guys for the rest of your lives then I would say stick with a queen - but honestly - I don't think it will look bad if it is past the walls.

Re: Headboard Question

The thing is the headboard is like $500 and the sleigh is more, so the headboard would probably only be temporary anyway...I think anyway. Now that there will be four of us in the bed I think we might want a bigger bed anyway! Chat Icon

Anyone's headboard cover the window a little?

Re: Headboard Question

Think in the future when buying a bedroom set. I say go for the KING if your plan is to move.

our king size bed is like that....but we have windows on 3 sides of the 4 walls of the room, so it doesn't bother us:

Re: Headboard Question

We have a king, and the headboard is in front of the window....I thought it would be terrible, but it's no so bad.
