Re: Health insurance...adding child
So I just checked about adding baby to my plan... it will increase my insurance from $60 a month (our company pays for the majority of our insurance) to $120 a month. Doubles it. Not bad. I thought it was going to be much worse. And it doesn't go up should I get married and add my boyfriend or have another child.

Re: Health insurance...adding child
We are above the income level as well but we are still getting Child Health Plus for our DD. Our insurance would go up from $270 a month for just DH and I to $500 a month for family ins. Through Child Health Plus we picked United Healthcare (there are a couple of different plans you can chose) and we will pay the full premium of $120 a month. Much cheaper than DH's ins. Once we have a 2nd child it won't be worth it but for now it's sooooo worth it.
This is exactly right. Just call them. The website does not tell you that you will have to pay full premium if you are over the income level. Every child is qualified.
I know a couple of people who have Child Heath and love them.
