Healthy, filling lunches and snacks

Would love some ideas please!

This week I had:

AM snack - Nature's Valley Fruit & Nut Trail mix bar

Lunch - 3 days I had grilled chicken over salad with balsamic dressing (Split 2 chicken breasts over the 3 days) and today and tomorrow I just have grilled chicken (1 breast for each day)

Afternoon snack - Carrots & 2 tbsp. hummus

Later snack - "halfwich" Chat Icon PB on 1 slice of folded over whole wheat bread.

I need some ideas for next week! I like to switch it up!

In the morning, I have the same breakfast which I love - low sugar oatmeal, PB & sliced banana.

HELP! I need things that are FILLING... I hate being hungry!

Re: Healthy, filling lunches and snacks

Greek yogurt over anything, or anything dipped in it.

veggies, steamed chicken, whole grain pita bread, the drier and blander it is, the more I think it goes with the rich thick yogurt.

fruit - 1-2 points (apples generally fill me up)

Fiber one 90 cal bars or regular ones are good and filling

100 cal packs almonds

Raisins

Jello pudding (100 cal) or Jello mousse (60 cal)

Those are generally my "go to" snacks

Today I made myself a turkey burger (with no bun) and had hummus and veggies on the side. It was very filling, and yummy!

Re: Healthy, filling lunches and snacks

Hayley-I made two yummy things-guacamole and a yummy chicken salad.

Guac is very good for you-I mash up an avocado, a little red onion, half a lime, cilantro, salt (1/4 tsp), and a little tomato, minus seeds-you can also add jalapeno. You can eat that with carrot sticks or some baked tortilla chips

Chicken salad-Cut up chicken with one green apple. a few celery stalks, halved red grapes and walnuts, mix with mayo.

I will try to think of more things!

Re: Healthy, filling lunches and snacks

Something to make "boring foods" taste good is kernel seasonings. It's supposed to be for popcorn, but I use the white cheddar on baked potatoes and steamed veggies. You can add the caramel, chocolate marshmallow or apple cinnamon ones to almonds!
