Heartworm, Flea & Tick
Can you recommend what you are giving your dog for heatworm, flea & tick prevention? Currently mine are on Revolution which requires a RX. I'm looking to get away from that. I would like to just order / purchase w/o the RX. Thanks

for heartworm -they get interceptor and i am currently looking for a more natural approach for flea/tick (search this board for the epa's write up about frontline, etc.)

We use Sentinel for Flea and Heartworm. It doesn't repel fleas but it makes them sterile.
We tried the ointments that repel them but Katie had bad skin reactions.
Knock on wood, we've never had a flea problem.

Daisy gets sentinal for heartworm from the vet.
We buy frontline plus for flea/tick from drfostersmith.com

Well if you need any advantage (only kills Fleas) let me know..my dh is a vet tech and can get the 4 month supply discounted and for cheap. Not sure what size dog you have but I can find out if you like. Just let me know...I wil ask him if there is anyway to buy heartworm online too.

Isn't Sentinal also protect against fleas and ticks? Sorry if I am wrong, but I thought it did heartworm flea and tick.

We use Interceptor for Heartworm, Roundworms, hookworms, etc...
We also use Frontline for fleas and ticks.
We use both products montly, year round.
We used to use Revolution but it doesn't have the good tick coverage like Frontline does. So we switched and that's why we had to add the Interceptor.
