Heating Tax: Not too much makes me mad but..........
I can't believe that Nassau County has agreed to place a heating tax of 2.5% on all Nassau County residents.
I already pay out the nose for heating and now more. We are living paycheck to paycheck already. I'm just happy that the Spring is right around the corner.

This infuriates me. What about the people who can barely afford to heat their homes as it is? Taxing necessities makes me

I get 2% cash back on my credit card so this almost cancells out the heating tax.
But this is absolutely ridiculous. Sozzi should be lynched.

It's not a done deal yet, right? I think they have to get it passed in Albany too?
Either way, it sux. No idea how the county thinks people will be able to afford to stay here. Younger people won't be able to buy in and older people will have to move out.

It probably will pass I think Suffolk already pays this tax and has been for some time.
