Help?! 15 months old....time to drop a nap?

DS is an amazing sleeper....has predictably slept 12 hours a night and 2 two-hour naps a day since 4 months old (I know, we're lucky!).

Anyway, Tuesday night, out of no where, he just starts crying when I put him down. He cried every time I tried to leave the room, right up till around 11 pm (he usually goes to bed by 8:30). Same thing last night, but I let him cry himself to sleep....which lasted about 30 minutes.

Today the nanny tells me that he's now crying when she puts him down for his naps.

Is this a sign that I need to drop the morning nap....or general sleep regression?

(at first, I thoug it was some separation anxiety showing itself - - because I was on vacation last week, so he got "a lot" of me.....now I'm questioning that.)

Any advice?

My 15 month old is showing signs of dropping nap too. He hasn't taken afternoon nap in a few days. This weekend I am pushing back his naptime to a midday nap to see if that works. I am sad to lose 2 naps even though my DS isn't a great napper like your LO.

My DS is also 15 months and some days takes 1 nap and some days takes 2.

But I wanted to suggest that maybe it's teething too?

15 months is around the time when DD dropped a nap as well, and took one 3 hour nap instead.
