HELP! 28 weeks, just switched OB's and Hospital. Info on NSUH tours and local Doulas PLEASE
Hello Ladies!
I hope someone can help. I managed to find a practice to take me this late in the game. We moved from Manhattan to Bayside to accomodate our growing family.
I am now delivering at North Shore Manhasset. Does anyone know how to go about booking a tour? I can't seem to navigate their site very well. Any insights GREATLY appreciated. We were going to deliver at Cornell in the city but that isn't going to work.
Also, our doula recommends finding someone closer to where we live to ensure optimal service (mostly in the event of inclement weather), does anyone have recommendations?
My head is spnning from the move and all these changes! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Hi! I am another Queens girls who is also delivering at NSUH. Call 516-562-4423 to book a tour. You will most likely have to leave a message and they will call you back with dates. They were booked for about a month ahead so I would call soon.
I'm sorry, I don't know much about a doula. Can your OB or your current doula recommend someone? Good Luck!

Thank you so much for the number, I'll call today. So overwhelming all of this!
I'm really hopeful for a drug free birth and keep hearing that NSUH does not make this easy...I just want to cry at this point.

I know you're looking into a doula, but I would definitely let your OB know that. The two of you should be on the same page as far as what you want.
