Help! Attorney looking to relocate to Florida-I don't know where to start
I am going to be taking the bar in Florida in July. Right now I am admitted in New York. DH gave my resume to a few recruiters.
I am at such a loss. How do I even go about finding something-and fast. I need to get down to Florida.
Same for DH-he is in technology.
We can use any advice or help!

do searches.... Monster.com, career builder.com.... apply to anything even remotely close to your field just to get an immediate job/benifits,etc.. Good luck!

How much experience do you have? Does FL have reciprocity with NY?
The best way for lawyers to find jobs is through legal recruiters. Definitely contact FL-based recruiters.
Good luck!

Actually, I just looked it up and apparently FL does not have reciprocity with NY.
It may be very difficult to get a job before you pass the bar exam in FL, but it is worth contacting a FL-based recruiter before you take it anyway. It just may be really difficult to get a job when you are relocating from OOS and haven't been admitted yet.
Good luck!

I was hoping you'd say real estate too! We've been down here almost 1.5 years and we will need a trustworthy real estate lawyer!
