Help! i think i may have bronchitis...

i feel horrible. i've had this cold all week, saw my ob thursday at my check up appt, and he told me to take tylenol cold. when i saw him it was mostly my nose being stuffy and sore throat. now, last nite i started with a deep cough, and had a rough nite. i had bronchitis in october and many times b4, and i think i have it now. i can feel the congestion in my chest and its driving me nuts! my asthma is really not bad and is under control with my inhalers usually, but when i have bronchitis, it just gets so tough.

do u think i should call my ob to prescribe me an antibiotic like z-pak? did anyone's ob call in a precription for u to your pharmacy for an antibiotic over a weekend, or did u have to wait to go back to see him again? did u see your ob or reg dr? i really dont want to wait til monday to see him or to call my reg dr. my reg dr wont prescribe without seeing u 1st i know that. sorry for all the questions!

I had bronchial thing several weeks ago. When I called my OB, they told me to call my reg dr and be seen. Reg dr gave me antibiotics and inhalers and an in - office "nebulizer"(?) treatment.

One thing- I did call it in as a medical emergency - b/c I had a low-grade fever (99.9) -so Dr would call me back right away....

Def call your OB and tell them you feel you may have it....try to treat it without meds if possible.

I've had the same cough.cold for almost a whole week now. Tylenol cold head congestion day and night pack helped ALOT.

Lots of hot fluids...soup, warm tea with honey, and hot hot hot showers in a steamed up bathroom.

and get a humidfier and run it!!!

i had bronchitis in the beginning of my pregnancy. Z-pack is completely fine to take! I couldn't have kicked it without it!

I took the z-pack a few weeks ago; had an awful cough and cold, and actually the cold is still sort of lingering. From what I was told, there are antibiotics that are safe to take for bronchitis. Feel better!!

My ob called in the z-pack for me to fight this bad cold that i had. last weekend. I did not have to wait to see him.
