help kicking the caffeine habit
i just started doing a cleanse, (same one i did about a year and a half ago) and while i can eat/drink really whatever i want, they suggest limiting caffeine and alcohol, or cutting it out all together. as far as the alcohol, that i can do. i don't even like drinking. now, i'm not a big caffeine hog. i have 1-2 cups of coffee in the am, and that's it. i don't even drink soda, caffeinated teas, etc. i tried to not have my cup this am, and i thought i was going to pass out while taking ds to school.
is having 1-2 cups every day really that bad? some days its only 1/2 a cup. decalf doesn't help at all. (maybe i need to have dh make the coffee and trick me!)
any tips on how you kicked the habit??

Honestly, caffeine is an addiction. It's hard on the body to quit cold turkey. If you really want to do it, you should try weaning yourself off of it. Chock Full of Nuts or one of those coffee brands sells a can of 1/2 and 1/2 (1/2 ground decaf and 1/2 high test) or mix your own. Do that for a bit to cut down on the dependency. Then I am sure you can kick the habit.
That being said, I don't think a cup or 2 of caffeine daily is terrible.

yea i went to 1/2 calf and was going to do full decaf then i slipped up one day and got a regular coffee and i am back drinking it i honestly get horrible cramps/sickness when i have caffeine so you think i would give it up. Also make sure all soda/drinks have no caffeine and clearly say it. I made the mistake of getting some fruit drink and it had it and after drinking a pot of coffee i was freaking.
