Help me choose a dress for my DD for my sister's wedding....

My sister is getting married on a Friday night in a few weeks. My DD is 4 years old. She is NOT in the wedding party, but will be attending the Mass and wedding reception.

I spent lots of hours in all kinds of stores and I think I waited too long since I can't find a dress for her (stores have out Winter/Holiday dresses already!)... I ended up ordering a few online and I can't make up my mind...

I don't want her to look 16. She is only 4. We settled on a light pink color, since that is the color theme my sister is using anyway. Since she is not a flower girl, I don't want anything too fancy, but I want her to look nice for a formal wedding. No strapless, no sequins, no pick-ups, no bling/glitter, no spaghetti straps, etc.

So, do you choose

#1:
light pink and similar to what I am wearing as a bridesmaid (my dress does not have the big bow on front)
External Image

#2:
pure silk with sleeves (got it for an awesome $39.99)
External Image

#3:
basket weave top
External Image

#4:
dress with more of a ball gown bottom
External Image

#5:
this dress, but in a light pink color with off white sash/bow

I don't have much time left, if I don't go with any of these, I need to order another one ASAP! Help. Be honest, are they too "old"? too "pageant-like"?

I've had a few generous LIF ladies offer to lend me one from their DD, so it's not like I won't end up finding one, since I know I can depend on their generosity if I needed to!

Thanks!

I love all of them. I think the one with the cap sleeve is the most child like so if you want your DD to look 4 that is the most 4 year old looking dress. The others looks like mini bridesmaid dresses, but they are all adorable. I am sure she will look great in any of them. Gee I am not much help here. I love them all though.

1 and 2 are my favs, with #2 in the lead because I'm a sucker for raw silk and cap sleeves (and you can't beat the price!)

I love #2 and #5 (in that color green, even though you said you want pink).

she is going to look beautiful in what ever you pick.

I think #2 is "younger" but I'm IN LOVE with #1 and #2... OMG Lauren will look amazing with a sweet little headband with a pink bow and that gorgeous blonde hair! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Help me choose a dress for my DD for my sister's wedding....

I love #1 and #2, and considering the steal you got #2 at- I would go with that one. The deterrent for #1 is that she isn't a flowergirl, but you are in the bridal party and you said it is a a similar dress- she could be confused for a flower girl by wearing it, KWIM?

I like 3 & 5 but they are all really pretty. I would go with whichever you can ost easily wipe a stain off without leaving a big wet mark the rest of the night. or which would still look nicest even if she spilled something or was doing the worm on the dance floor. At least that's what I usually consider

Thanks everyone! Now I am even more undecided! I am so in the minority, I was leaning towards #3! Something about it is very simple, yet elegant. While I love #2 and the price, I have a hard time imagining my DD in silk.

Thanks for your input!
