Re: help me pick a dress please
I think they are both nice dresses, but the first one seems a bit too casual for a christening and the second a bit too dresst for a christening.

Re: help me pick a dress please
I like the white one a lot and think you could totally pull it off. The turquoise would be such a beautiful color as well. I also think that the rouching and layers would hide some minor flaws, although I remember you having a great figure in pictures, so I say you should go for it!! You'll look beautiful!!!

Do guests usually wear dresses to christenings? My nephew's is next weekend and I was going to wear dressy pants.
I don't love the first one and agree the second looks too dressy. I know the first would look awful on me though, so that might be affecting my opinion.

Re: help me pick a dress please
Sorry...I don't think either is appropriate. What about a nice pantsuit or sundress with a cardigan from Ann Taylor or something like that??? Sorry...I'm no help! :)

Re: help me pick a dress please
its day...st sylvesters in medford then the party is at out our house. 1st let me say i wore a pant suit to my daughters 2 yrs ago and wanted a different look. When my daughter was baptized let me just say that (and I could not believe this) there were people wearing jeans........so i know they will be dressy enough.

Okay then I would say dress #1. I originally voted for #2 because I like it better but since it's a daytime party I think #1 goes better.

Maybe with a jacket, but I think that a shrug might not dress it down enough for church. I think for afterward with a shrug it would be beautiful.
