help me please - teething and CIO?!?!
DS seems fine all day, his teeth bother him but its not terrible. at bedtime he will not get comfortable when i rock him, he is squirming all over, dead tired. i put him down and he screams and screams - i know he is exhausted, when i pick him up he calms down but still squirms all over. if he is teething do you still CIO? otherwise im gonna be rocking him all freaking night. he is screaming right now, i force fed him tylenol - lately he refuses it - maybe when it kicks in he will stop? i can't take it anymore

How old is he? Have you ever done CIO before? If not, I probably wouldn't start knowing he's in pain... Have you tried motrin? sometimes that helps more than the Tylenol... Or Orajel? Teething tablets?

yes we have done CIO twice. He is 7.5 months old. I'm not sure he's screaming due to his teeth - he shuts right up when i pick him up and cuddle

To be honest, i think he is overtired.
I had a hard time putting Paige down tonight because of it. I put her in teh crib, she cried. I picked her up and rocked a tiny bit adn her eyes started shutting. Put her down again...she started crying again.
Thankfully she finally fell asleep, I let her cry a bit.
Did your DS nap today at all or very little. Paige did not nap except for once (early in the morning).
When Paige is overtired, she hates to be put down. She cries and cries.

he had a one hour nap in the AM, and then two cat naps in the afternoon. i anticipated him possibly getting tired earlier, so i shifted the bedtime earlier. he still screamed like a maniac. he finally stopped, after 30+ minutes.... i still hear him hiccuping in the monitor

Re: help me please - teething and CIO?!?!
Teething sux! When DD is teething bad and waking up often, I just hold her for a while until she falls asleep...put her down...until she wakes again crying. I really try to comfort her knowing that she doesn't feel well. I lose some sleep but it's a temporary thing.
Someone mentioned Motrin and I'd try that if I were you. It can be more effective and you can give it more often then Tylenol.
I hope this whole teething thing is short-lived. Hang in there!

Well, I don't know it's teething because of you picked him up he would still cry. I think he just wants you to hold him and wants to be rocked. I say let him CIO..or if you don't feel comfortable rub your DC back while in the crib until he falls asleep. That worked for me and eventually my girls learned how to fall asleep on their own without rocking...good luck! Reese hated the tylenol so i would use those Fever-ALLs you put it in the but..it worked well.
