HELP me with this combined baptism/1st birthday party planning please!
Baptism 12:30pm Party room booked for 2pm
Church is about 5 minutes from where party is being held. Is that too much time in between? Should I book the room for 1:30 instead?
How are we going to set up for the party? The only thing I can think of is if they let us do it early that morning or if a friend or family member can do it for us? The tables will be set up just need to put all the decorations up, centerpieces, food out, etc..
For the invitation, how can I word it?
I have a party dress for her, but what should I dress her in for the church? Just a cute white knee-length dress?

Keep it for 2 and see what the place says about people showing up earlier.
Ask a friend/family member if they wouldnt mond going to set up decorations etc. People are always willing to help out

I hate Not being able to set up for my own party---I always have people go to the site before it is DONE and I hate it
so...I usually try to do it the night before if the place will allow

Re: HELP me with this combined baptism/1st birthday party planning please!
Church will probably be an hour...so as long as the place doesnt mind if people arrive 15 min early I would leave it for 2.
Yes, I would ask someone to set it up for me or else go myself the night before if the place will let you.

Thanks, I have to call the place and see what they allow. I feel the same way Jen, I really want to set it up myself but I might not have a choice.

I had the same timing.
It worked out fine.
Usually, they will let you set up in the morning. I was told anytime after 10am.

I think that is enough time btw church and the hall because church is an hour plus you will prob want to take pics and you dont want guests showing up before you. As for the dress, I know when we went for our baptism meeting the priest said the children can wear whatever you like, it doesn't have to be white but most people do that. Personally, I would get a white dress and then change her into a party dress at the party

I'd check with your church on that, at mine they HAD to be in all white, and I know others have had the same.
