Help my 4 month old is freezing at night
So it seems my dS no longer likes the swaddle but now his arms and hands are freezing at night. I have been putting him in a sleepnplay with a halo sleepsack swaddle over it (arms out). The past 2 nights I have put a jacket on him in the middle of the night b/c his hands and arms are like ice. What can I put on him that will keep him warm w/out a blanket?? Our house is set at 70 but his nursery is likely much colder because of where it is in the house. Suggestions?

DS' room is the coldest in the house too. We layer him. We put him in a bodysuit with a cotton footie pj over it & a fleece footie over that.
Maybe you can use the no scratch mittens on his hands?

maybe a long sleeve onesie under the sleep and play. This way his arms and belly are covered. Their hands and feet are usually cold b/c they are furthest from the heart so the longest to warm, up. If his belly and back are cold then him is cold, kwim?
We also use a space heater in dd's room. We set it at 72 and it goes on and off as needed.

The space heater has been a livesaver in DD's room.

we have a lasko space heater in my son's room, have since he was about 5 months old for colder temps. Works perfectly! There is a digital temp setting so the room automatically remains within a 4 degree range.

Hands and arms are usually cold. Like a PP said, if their belly and back are cold that's a better indicator. Do you have a thermometer in his room? Is he sleeping differently? You don't want to bundle him too much and overheat him. That can be much worse.
Imo, get a separate thermometer and see what his room is. Anything over 65 is fine IMO with what you have on him (not the jacket)

Carters has fleece sleep sacks with full arms. I used them on DD until she outgrew them.

i was going to say this too! they also have a heavy sleep and play. maybe you can try that under the sleep sac-or try a heavier sleepsac. dds room is colder than any other room also. i just hung up heavy plastic over her window and the room seems to maintain a better temperature .

Arms and legs are usually colder. DD's room is also the coldest in the house and we put a space heater in there that has at timer and thermometer so it'll shut off automatically and we would put her in fleece footed pajamas and that usually did the trick.
